All Time Favorite Christmas Stories

“When it seems the magic’s slipped away
We find it all again on Christmas day”

It’s finally Christmas again! My favorite day of the entire year and the most magical one in my opinion. Christmas is a time for cheer, family and love. A time for sharing and being thankful. So how could I not write a post to thank all of my amazing followers and wish you all a wonderful Merry Christmas!?

Harry Potter Christmas appreciation. Had to happen!

I’ve seen so many posts and so many Christmas wishes today but I figured that it would be a nice idea to share with you some of my favourite Christmas stories. Stories full of Christmas magic that we all know and love, and that will stay with us forever. So without further delay, here they are:

“I will honour Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year. I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future. The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me. I will not shut out the lessons that they teach!”

Goodreads summary: Scrooge, the most miserly of all misers, is shown the true meaning of Christmas by four ghostly visitors – his partner Marley, and the ghosts of Christmas Past, Christmas Present and Christmas Yet To Come. By Christmas day, he has learnt his lesson and is willing to enter into the spirit of things.

Top 3 Book Recommendations of Autumn

My rating: 4.25/5

Summary: Sixteen years ago the Kingdom of Winter was conquered and its citizens enslaved, leaving them without magic or a monarch. Now, the Winterians’ only hope for freedom is the eight survivors who managed to escape, and who have been waiting for the opportunity to steal back Winter’s magic and rebuild the kingdom ever since.

Orphaned as an infant during Winter’s defeat, Meira has lived her whole life as a refugee, raised by the Winterians’ general, Sir. Training to be a warrior—and desperately in love with her best friend, and future king, Mather — she would do anything to help her kingdom rise to power again.

So when scouts discover the location of the ancient locket that can restore Winter’s magic, Meira decides to go after it herself. Finally, she’s scaling towers, fighting enemy soldiers, and serving her kingdom just as she’s always dreamed she would. But the mission doesn’t go as planned, and Meira soon finds herself thrust into a world of evil magic and dangerous politics – and ultimately comes to realize that her destiny is not, never has been, her own.

My thoughts: This was a book that really took me by surprise. To be honest I didn’t expect to like it as much as I did and I was a bit worried to read it at first but it turns out my concern was all for nothing! I loved Meira and Mather and the plot was satisfying and fast paced. And that plot twist at the end really caught me by suprise! I was a bit skeptical about Meira since the beginning of the book but I never saw that coming! It did remind me a bit of Throne of Glass and I also had a slight problem with the names in this but other than that is was an incredible read! And I can’t wait to get my hands on Ice Like Fire!
