Hi everyone! Remember I said yesterday I had something important to share with you today? Well, this is it! My very first blog tour which I’m very excited about! I received a copy of this book by Xpresso Book Tours in exchange for an honest review and let me just say I loved it! Will get to the actual review shortly but first a little bit of information about the book:

fb

Title: Forever Blue

Author: Abby Wilder

Genres: Mystery, romance, YA

Format: ebook

Published: June 17th, 2016

Synopsis:

I never thought it would end like this.
I never thought it would end at all.
But not all stories get a happy ending.

When Lennon Donnelly moves back to the quiet town of Puruwai, she never dreams that a chance meeting with a boy sitting at the cemetery will change her life. Her best friend warns her about Judah Mitchell. There are rumours that he killed his brother. But as Lennon is drawn deeper into the mysterious boy’s life, the events of his past unravel until she finds herself driving over the edge of a cliff and into the depths of the lake below.

Spanning over two years and starting at the end, this compelling novel tells of the intertwining relationships of Lennon, Ruben, Judah, and Cara. Told from the different perspectives of before and after, the story unfolds like a puzzle and reveals secrets that will haunt you long after you turn the final page.

My review:

Let me just start by saying that I didn’t expect to like this book as much as I did. I found the synopsis extremely intriguing which is why I wanted to give it a try but I’m not easily satisfied with anything that isn’t pure fantasy so I still wasn’t sure what to expect when I started it. Luckily for me, Forever Blue was as enticing as the synopsis made it to be and I was delightfully surprised!

Spooky Covers

Hello everyone! So sorry I disappeared once again! October has been a really hard month for me because of a very busy schedule with work and university and because I was going through a hard family time and wasn’t really in the mood to write. But Halloween is only a few hours away and since I love Halloween and everything that goes with it, I figured it was finally time for me to return! This is gonna be a rather short post because I’ve had very little time to write this weekend, but I had to post something Halloween related! So let’s take a look at some spooky book covers and the stories that go with them!

Synopsis

Cas Lowood has inherited an unusual vocation: He kills the dead.

So did his father before him, until he was gruesomely murdered by a ghost he sought to kill. Now, armed with his father’s mysterious and deadly athame, Cas travels the country with his kitchen-witch mother and their spirit-sniffing cat. They follow legends and local lore, destroy the murderous dead, and keep pesky things like the future and friends at bay.

Searching for a ghost the locals call Anna Dressed in Blood, Cas expects the usual: track, hunt, kill. What he finds instead is a girl entangled in curses and rage, a ghost like he’s never faced before. She still wears the dress she wore on the day of her brutal murder in 1958: once white, now stained red and dripping with blood. Since her death, Anna has killed any and every person who has dared to step into the deserted Victorian she used to call home.

Yet she spares Cas’s life.

My thoughts: A girl wearing a blood stained dress and standing in front of a seemingly abandoned house? I think that’s spooky enough, don’t you? Anna Dressed in Blood was my Halloween read for last year and I absolutely loved it! Granted it wasn’t exactly scary but it still had its creepy moments and was a hauntingly beautiful story. See what I did there? Ghosts? Haunting? No? Anyway, I would totally recommend this book to anyone looking for a good chill and thrill! And if you’re a fan of impossible love stories, even better!
