About Me

Okay, it’s time for me to start spilling secrets! But instead of going on the usual ramble about myself, I decided to list 25 facts about me instead, that are pretty much all you need to know to be my friend. So here goes:

  1. My name is Demmi and I live in Greece
  2. My hobbies are reading, writing, art, photography and horse riding.
  3. My favourite colour is purple, red and sky blue. Although black is dominating my wardrobe.
  4. Five writers I want to meet are Cassandra Clare, Richelle Mead, Marissa Mayer, Sarah J. Maas and John Green.
  5. I have brown hair and brown eyes.
  6. I study history and archaeology.
  7. I’m 21 years old.
  8. I don’t really like sports ( the only sport I’m good at is horse riding) but I would love to try baseball at some point.
  9. My favourite book genre is fantasy.
  10. My favourite music genre is rock.
  11. My favourite movie genre is sci-fi.
  12. I watch a lot of horror movies but I’m very easily disappointed by them. The last major disappointment was Crimson Peak.
  13. I want to be a writer (if I ever manage to finish a book)
  14. I have an obsession with hats (especially fedoras) and wear them all the time.
  15. Five tv shows I watch are The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Reign, Falling Skies and Arrow. There are more of course.
  16. I want to live in the US at some point.
  17. My favourite place in the world is London. I absolutely love it!
  18. I have a pug named Hephaestus (like the Greek god)
  19. The last five movies I watched are Star Wars, The Scorch Trials, Inside Out, Fantastic Four and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.
  20. Five things I really want to do are try scuba diving, go to a concert in the US (ours pale by comparison), watch a musical, go camping and ride on a beach.
  21. I really want to visit Amsterdam, Vancouver, Seattle and Scotland and go back to Venice one day.
  22. I like vinyls a lot more than CDs but unfortunately I don’t own a pickup right now.
  23. One of my smaller goals is to visit a Barnes and Noble bookstore one day. Hopefully soon!
  24. I want to learn a music instrument (preferably guitar or piano)
  25. My current musical obsession is Fall Out Boy.

      Hi there! Thank you! 🙂 I’m studying archaeology because it’s something I find interesting and because I can’t study creative writing in my country, which is what I’m obsessed with. Unfortunately we don’t have that major in our universities but I’m pursuing a Master’s degree in creative writing so hopefully I’ll be able to do something related to that while having my archaeology degree as a back up.

        Ohh ok, that’s great 🙂 It sucks that you don’t have CW in Greece, but it’s probably better if you study it as Masters anyway if that’s your ultimate job. Good luck! (You seem doing great anyway)

        Thank you so much! I think it’s better to study it as a Master’s too because then I’ll have more job options! And plus, I’ll get to live in England which I love! 🙂

        I’m currently on a Gap Year (between high school and college), so if all goes as planned, I should start college Fall 2017 in the US. I was supposed to start this year, but I aimed way too high (applied for the best universities, all with financial aid, didn’t have safeties) because my family thought and expected me to get in.. and I didn’t :\
        I guess I could have tried applying to Canada as well, but I didn’t want all the work I had dedicated to applying to US to go to waste because it didn’t work out this time. (I’m rambling, I’m sorry xD) This experience literally crushed my self-esteem (I also have a blog, if you’re interested!) but I think I’m alright now.
        Anywaay, I plan on majoring in Psychology (or Sociology) mainly because I don’t know what I want my ultimate job to be, even though I have interests in English/Literature and Business too…
        I kind of still have time to decide, as I’m not applying until Nov this year, but it probably won’t really change. I’m pretty sure I’ll do a Masters degree too (1 or 2) 🙂
        Basically, I’m just trying not to lose my shit before starting college xD

        Aw I’m sorry to hear you didn’t get in but you have to keep believing in yourself and I’m sure everything will work out fine! 🙂 Psychology sounds great! I considered studying it too at some point but it didn’t turn out to be my thing. I just checked out your blog! It looks awesome!

        Aw thank youu, that’s what everyone keeps telling me, and that’s what I try telling myself too 🙂 I don’t know if Psychology’s gonna work out for me either… that’s why I’m trying to broaden my reading realm to see if I’m particularly interested in other things too.
