Top 12 Disney Songs I Love

As an undeniably obsessed Disney fan, I’ve grown up singing along to Disney songs, classic or modern! Disney has been my entire childhood and even today I never say no to watching Disney movies or doing anything that has to do with Disney for that matter! After all, you’re never too old for Disney, and Disney songs and movies are proof that everyone is a child at heart! I myself find it impossible to listen to a Disney song without singing along and even though there are hundreds of them that I love, today I’m going to try to count out my top favorites!

Belle Reprise

“I want adventure in the great wide somewhere.
I want it more than I can tell.”

Beauty and the Beast has always been one of my favorite Disney movies, with Belle being on the top of my list of favorite Disney princesses! One of my favorite parts about the movie is the musical numbers in it! It’s hard not to sing along to “Belle” at the beginning of the movie when belle wanders through the streets of her village saying hello to everybody but it’s the reprise of the song that I’ve always loved the most! I’m sure we’ve all fantasized about running on hills and singing about our dreams at one point or another, and if you love adventures like I do, it’s not hard to relate to Belle’s “I want adventure in the great wide somewhere”!

It’s easy

Nothing you can make that can’t be made
No one you can save that can’t be saved
Nothing you can do but you can learn how to be you in time
It’s easy

All you need is love
All you need is love
All you need is love, love
Love is all you need

Love, love, love
Love, love, love

Hotel California – In Memory of Glenn Frey

January 2016 seems to be a very sad month for the celebrity world. After news of both David Bowie and Alan Rickman passing away (both giant figures in the music and cinema industries accordingly) I wake up today to find out that Glenn Frey, another founding figure of classic rock, has also left this world. Even though I’m only 21 years old, classic rock is the one type of music that I will never get bored of listening to and I believe it in my heart that the best representatives of this beloved type of music (bands like The Rolling Stones, Eagles, The Doors and The Clash) will stay in history forever. I’ve been listening to Eagles ever since I was fifteen years old and I want to wholeheartedly thank my dad for teaching me what the best music really is. Hotel California has always been one of my favorite songs, even before I finally understood the deep meaning behind its lyrics, and by sharing this song with you I want to say goodbye to Glenn Frey and all he represented in my own way.

Artist: Eagles

Album: Hotel California

Released: February 1977

Genre: soft rock

Length: 6:30

Writers: Don Felder, Don Henley, Glenn Frey

On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair
Warm smell of colitas, rising up through the air
Up ahead in the distance, I saw a shimmering light
My head grew heavy and my sight grew dim
I had to stop for the night
There she stood in the doorway;
I heard the mission bell
And I was thinking to myself,
“This could be Heaven or this could be Hell”
Then she lit up a candle and she showed me the way
There were voices down the corridor,
I thought I heard them say…

In this farewell
There’s no blood
There’s no alibi
‘Cause I’ve drawn regret
From the truth

So let mercy come
And wash away
What I’ve done

I’ll face myself
To cross out what I’ve become
Erase myself
And let go of what I’ve done

Can’t keep believing,
We’re only deceiving ourselves .
And I’m sick of the lie,
And you’re too late.

And The Treats Keep Coming!

Steve Aoki feat. Fall Out Boy - Back To Earth (Official Video)_20150820-12265537

This time I’m talking about Steve Aoki collaborating with Fall Out Boy to release “Back To Earth”, a song that I fell in love with right away after hearing it from the first time. What I didn’t realize at the time, however, was that it was Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump singing, which is really embarrassing for me considering how much I love FOB and that I’ve had this song in my phone for months now and have practically heard it a thousand times. So imagine my surprised when I logged in my twitter account this morning and saw a tweet by Fall Out Boy announcing the release of the video of that same song, featuring them  AND Steve Aoki! So after doing a little research and realizing my huge ignorance I went back to listen to the song again with a fresh ear and watch the amazing futuristic video that goes with it!

“It was an absolute honor working with my close friends Fall Out Boy on this song and video. This was such an action packed video and an integral piece to Neon Future,” Aoki says of the clip.

To be honest, I was a bit surprised with the whole theme of the video at first, but it was in a good way and no one can argue that the boys look great in it. So if you haven’t watched it already, don’t waste time! Go do it right now!

One more thing:  There’s been a little confusion about the video on youtube, due to it having been posted in June and no one seeing it until yesterday. So for those of you who are wondering why that is, it’s because the video is unlisted on youtube for some reason and you can only view it through a link, since it won’t appear on search engines.

Hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I did! 🙂
